An eyewitness who was with Rahmon Adedoyin, the owner of Hilton Hotel where Timothy Adegoke died in, has said that Adedoyin was given first-class treatment by police officers while in custody.
According to the witness, Adedoyin was given preferential treatment, a bed to sleep in, blankets and many other topnotch services which shouldn’t be found in a police cell.
The witness further alleged that Adedoyin was released not long after, due to pressure from “higher-ups” for his release.
In a viral video, the witness said, “I was with that man (Adedoyin) when he was in police custody in Abuja. The policemen were treating him like a god. Top politicians were the ones calling and pressurising the IG and Police Commandant, for his release.”
