The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oyo West Local Government area of Oyo State earlier on Tuesday, convened a peace meeting to settle scores hanging among some party members.
A leader of the party and a business mogul, Omooba Babatunde Ologburo called for this meeting in his country home, Oyo.
In his remarks, Ologburo extolled the sterling and unequalled performance of Governor ‘Seyi Makinde, adding that Oyo Federal Constituency has benefited immensely from his developmental strides in education, health, security, expansion of economy and good road network in the state.
He said the party’s stakeholders and leaders have resolved to form formidable partnership that will ensure all the party’s candidates in next year’s elections from presidency to State House of Assembly, emerge victorious.
At the end of the closed door meeting, all the party leaders and stakeholders unanimously agreed to work together for the success of the party, saying that a divided house will not achieve the much desired results.
Present at the meeting were: Executive Chairman of Oyo West, Prince Salam Olukitibi; Chief Ogungbile Ganiyu, Alhaji Isiaka Olujide, Jimoh Rasheed, Atanda R.A, Rafiat Onileola, Daud Temitope, Hon Jelili Alala, Hon Fatai Okunlola and Olorunpoto AbdulRahaman (Assembly candidate).
Others are: Chief Ademola Santos (PDP Southwest Zonal Executive), Babatunde Isiaka, Alhaji Nureni Alade (Vice-Chairman, Oyo West LG), Bashiru Adeyanju, Oseni Atilade, Wahab Oloyo (party chairman), Mumini Azeez, Hon Maroof Atilola (former Speaker, Oyo Assembly), Isiaka Adebayo, Kaola Lawal, Oyeleke Sarafadeen, Muse Abiola, Engr. Adegbola T. A. among other party chieftains.
