Makinde Approves Appointment of Bibiire as DCoS, Dissolves 3SC Board, Appoints Lekan Salami as New Chairman

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of Honourable Adeyinka Kazim Adeniyi (Bibiire) as his new Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS).

This appointment follows the resignation of the former Deputy Chief of Staff, Honourable Fola Sunday Oyekunle, who recently emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency by-election, scheduled for 16 August 2025.

According to a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, Governor Makinde also approved:

  • The dissolution of the board of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC).
  • The appointment of Honourable Taiwo Lekan Salami as the new chairman of the club.

In the same vein, the governor approved:

  • The appointment of Honourable Kabiru Salami, a retired police officer, as Executive Assistant to the Governor (Security Coordination).
  • The appointment of Honourable Waheed Adeniyi as the new Chairman of the Oyo State Waste Management Authority.

Governor Makinde congratulated the new appointees and urged them to view their appointments as a call to service.

The appointments take immediate effect.
