Adekanmbi, Ex-Finance Commissioner for Late Governor Ajimobi, Dumps APC

Mr. Abimbola Adekanmbi, a former Commissioner for Finance and Deputy Chief of Staff in Oyo State, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The resignation was communicated through a letter to the party chairman in his Ward 1, Ibadan North East Local Government. Adekanmbi, a 2023 senatorial aspirant for the party, did not disclose his reasons for leaving.

The correspondence was also sent to the APC chairmen in Ward 4, Ona Ara Local Government, and the State Chairman in Oke Ado, Ibadan, for their information. The letter reads:

“I hereby formally tender my resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“This marks the close of a significant chapter in my political journey — one that began from the very inception of the Party. Through seasons of growth and challenge, I have remained steadfast in my commitment and I am grateful for the honour to contribute, in my own way, to the service and progress of our dear Oyo State.

“Over the years, I have had the privilege of working alongside passionate men and women at the Ward, Local Government, State, and National levels. Together, we shared moments of purpose, built enduring bonds, and shaped collective memories that I will always hold dear.
I extend my sincere good wishes to the APC and to its members, as I continue to Pray for the continued growth and progress of our dearly beloved Oyo State.”
