Bayo Adelabu Slams Nigerians for Leaving Appliances On While Away

Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has criticised Nigerians for leaving their refrigerators and air conditioners running while they are away from home, citing a lack of awareness about electricity consumption.

Addressing journalists in Abuja, Adelabu expressed concern over the wasteful use of electricity due to its affordability in the country. He highlighted instances where people leave appliances running unnecessarily, such as keeping a freezer on despite everything inside being frozen.

Adelabu, the son of prominent politician Adegoke Adelabu, emphasised the need for better energy consumption management among Nigerians. He pointed out that in other countries, consumers are more conscious of their electricity usage.
