The Commissioner for Public Works and Transport, Professor Raphael Afonga, disclosed that the Oyo State Government has disengaged the services of the contractor handling the Akobo – Oju’rin project.
In his statement with the press earlier today, Professor Afonja stated that the reason for disengaging services of the contractor on ‘Idi-ape – Akobo – Oju’rin’ road project is “non-performance of the project”.
He revealed that the project will soon be re-awarded to another contractor and appealed to the road users to exercise patience with the State government as the Seyi Makinde led administration would not relent in making the lives of Oyo State people more comfortable.
