No fewer than five people have been seriously injured in a motor accident involving a mini bus and a truck along Dugbe, Oke-Ado road in Ibadan.
The incident, which occurred around 10 am on Wednesday, caused gridlock around the axis.
An eye witness who pleaded anonymity said the mini bus conveying cosmetic products was coming from the Molete axis to Dugbe before veering off to the other side of the road and rammed into the truck transporting cement.
He alleged that the mini van had been trying to evade been stopped by security personnel before getting to where the incident happened.
In the meantime, operatives of the Nigerian Police Force were reported to have arrived promptly at the scene to restore order and supervise the evacuation of the victims to the nearest hospital.
