Governor Makinde Affirms Mother’s Days on Earth as he Attends Thanksgiving Service

Oyo state Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has affirmed that his Mother spent 29,509 days on planet earth.

He made the affirmation while appreciating congregation which included cabinet members, former public officers who attended the Thanksgiving service held in honour of his late Mother, Madam Abigael Makinde at the St. paul’s Anglican Church, Yemetu Ibadan,

The Governor urged everyone to cheer up and not be sorrowful as he noticed many were still saddened at the passing of his mother.

He also described his late mother as a cheerful giver who disagreed with him on small amounts donated to the Church, which led him to sing some of his late Mother’s songs on cheerful giving.

In his sermon during the service, Reverend John Alo, admonished all to honour their parents while alive as no one knows the hour that the trumpet would sound.

Madam Abigael Makinde died on the 15th of October, 2020, and has been buried at the cemetery of the St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Aremo in Ibadan.
