Governor Makinde Flags-off Construction of Ultra-Modern Secretariat Complex

Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has flagged-off the construction of an Ultra-Modern Secretariat/Office Complex for Local Government Service Commission and Local Government Staff Pension Board.

He made the flag-off at the proposed site for the construction amidst other top Government officials including the Deputy Governor, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan, the Secretary to the State Government, Olubanwo Adeosun, the Head of Service, Amidat Agboola, the Chief of Staff, Bisi Ilaka, Chairman of the Oyo State Advisory Council, Hosea Agboola and several Labour leaders.

While giving his address during the commissioning programme, Governor Makinde expressed optimism that the complex will be completed and inaugurated before his second anniversary in office, disclosing that 1.5M has been earmarked for the construction.

Giving their separate Goodwill messages, Labour Leaders in the state appreciated the Governor for his Generosity in ensuring that workers in the state are not affected in the wake of the Coronavirus Pandemic.

On his part, the Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission/Local Government Staff Pension Board, Honourable Aderemi Ayodele, lauded the Governor’s effort emphasizing that the Commission and Pension Board had been tenants in the Water Corporation’s Building for about four decades now.
