Oyo State Remains Committed to the Health of all – Governor Seyi Makinde

Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has asserted that the current administration in Oyo State is entirely committed to health stability as it is one of the cardinal points of the administration.

The assertion was made by his Deputy, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan, during the donation of medical equipment to the Oyo State Government by the Coalition Against Covid-19, (CACOVID), at the Jericho Specialist Hospital in IBADAN.

Engineer Rauf Olaniyan while appreciating the efforts of CACOVID and other well-spirited Nigerians, called on others to support the fight against Covid-19 and observe precautionary measures and hygienic habits.

While thanking the Deputy Governor for his presence at the donation despite his busy schedule, Oyo State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Bashir Bello, said the medical equipment will be applied to confront, contain and possibly get rid of the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Speaking on efforts made so far to stabilise the health status of Coronavirus patients, the former Chief Medical Director of the University College Hospital and the Vice-chairman of the Oyo State Covid-19 task force, Dr. Temitope Alonge, said no death has been reported from Coronavirus patients lately, in the state.

It was explained during the programme for the donation that the medical equipment by CACOVID would be transferred to the Saki Infectious Disease Centre for treatment of Coronavirus patients and that funds have been approved for its functionality.
