Governor Seyi Makinde Commissions Squadron’s Force in Oke Ogun

As part of activities commemorating his one year in office Oyo state Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has officially commissioned NO 72 Squadron Police Mobile Force in Ago Are, Oke-Ogun axis of Oyo state to enhance safety of lives and property.

Recalling his journey to Ago Are and the duration it took for him and his entourage to get there, Governor Makinde noted that the largeness of the state in West Africa calls for optimum security and that appropriate strategies must be deployed to ensure safety and security of all.

Governor Makinde while commissioning the security force stated that decisions and meeting were done to situate a police force in the area but that lobbying from different quarters were avoided and that the choice of Ago Are as the locality was duly reached with security personnel and tactical evaluation.

He appreciated the Kabiyesi of the Ago-Amodu Area for the donation of the land to permanently situate the Police force and gave assurance of the speedy development of the Force by his administration stressing that the welfare of the squadron officers are important for effective duties.

The Number One citizen in Oyo state thanked the Inspector General of Police, Mohammad Adamu, for granting the approval of the Squadron’s Mobile Force noting that all bureaucratic bottlenecks were cut and that security of lives and property is important for his administration and thanked all for their support to his administration.
