Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has reshuffled his cabinet, reassigning key commissioners to new roles.
The changes were disclosed on Monday in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi.
Under the reshuffle, Barr. Seun Ashamu, the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, will now oversee the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. Meanwhile, Hon. Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, previously in charge of Environment, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Public Works, Infrastructure and Transport.
Additionally, Prof. Dahud Shangodoyin, the former Commissioner for Public Works, will take over the Energy and Mineral Resources portfolio.
In another key change, Prof. Solihu Adelabu, Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, has been moved to the Ministry of Establishments and Training, while Hon. Segun Olayiwola, the former Commissioner for Establishments, will now lead the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
The governor directed that the reshuffle takes immediate effect, urging the affected commissioners to continue serving with dedication and loyalty to the state.
