No fewer than two persons have been reported dead while many others have been left injured as hoodlums and thugs identified with the All Progressives Congress (APC), allegedly attacked members of the ruling party in Oyo State, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at Igangan axis of the state.
The APC thugs were said to have attacked the members of PDP during the governor’s campaign for the fast approaching general election, an attack which has rendered two of the members of the party dead with many badly injured.
In the meantime, the Spokesperson and the Chairman of PDP in Ibarapa region have openly condemned the attack, which was described as a launch to further affirm the attackers’ party’s confidence in violence and obvious loss in the democratic process of election.
“Although, we will never relent in our campaign for our different candidates at different levels, we will also cooperate with the police and other law enforcement agencies to further address this case of attacks on our members”, the party assured.
