JUST IN: Ajewole Defeats Incumbent, Emerges New CCII President

Barrister Wole Ajewole has reportedly defeated the incumbent Chairman of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), Prince Oyebisi Adeaga in an election held on Friday afternoon.

Barrister Wole Ajewole, who won in a fiercely contested election for the Office of the President General of the Ibadan Indigene Council defeated the current Chairman, Prince Oluyemisi Adeaga.

Despite various issues surrounding the election which emerged as a result of the build up to the election in the past few months, the election was held at the Ibadan House in Oke Aare area of Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

In the meantime, Ajweole won with 46 votes while his close contestant, the Incumbent President General, Prince Oluyemisi Adeaga polled 39 votes.
