Nigerians React as Tunde Kelani Reveals Plan to Release Saworoide 2

Reactions have trailed the latest announcement from legendary Nigerian film director and producer, Tunde Kelani to release Saworoide 2, a sequel to the 1999 blockbuster movie.

Announcing the good news, he wrote, “When there is a cultural vacuum, moral and mental decay follows.
SAWOROIDE 2 ( New movie) COMING SOON!”

The announcement has however sparked a wave of reactions from Nollywood actors and fans alike on the social media community.

Several Nollywood actors, including Femi Adebayo, Ibrahim Chatta, and Toyin Abraham, took to the social media to express their excitement about the upcoming release.

Femi Adebayo took to the comment section and shares a supportive clapping emoji while Ibrahim Chatta wrote, “SAWOROIDE 2, Wow.🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾Agba l’o to’ro lo…”

Toyin Abraham wrote, “Baba mi they are not ready🤜🤜”

Bimbo Ademoye wrote, “No way!!!. Saworoide 2? 😢😢😢. Somebody pinch me”.

Meanwhile, other fans of the original movie also took to social media to share their excitement about the sequel.

Recall that Saworoide is a classic Nigerian film that was released in 1999.

The movie tells the story of a small town called Jogbo, which is ruled by a powerful and corrupt king. The film explores themes of power, corruption, and the struggle for justice in a society where the voices of the people are often silenced.
