LAUTECH VC Praises Makinde as NUC Accredits 31 Academic Programmes

The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has achieved a 100 per cent success rate in the accreditation of its courses by the National Universities Commission (NUC), with all 31 academic programmes presented by the university receiving accreditation.

In a letter to Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, who is the Visitor and Proprietor of the institution, Vice-Chancellor Prof. R.O. Rom Kalilu commended the governor for his generosity and strong support towards the institution, which ensured the success of the accreditation.

According to the VC, the accredited programmes were presented to the NUC between October and December 2023, with the results released this month. Additionally, 13 new academic programmes granted initial approval in 2022 are due for NUC accreditation between October and December 2024.

The letter stated: “The university achieved a 100 per cent success rate without any denial to continue running any of the assessed and accredited academic programmes.

“Quality-wise, 29 (93.5 per cent) of the programmes received full accreditation, while 2 (6.5 per cent) received interim accreditation.

“The university is proud and grateful to you for your magnanimity through diverse support that enabled our outstanding success.”
