Makinde Promises Legal Action Against Immigration Officers Who Attacked OYRTMA Personnel

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has strongly condemned the assault on personnel of the Oyo State Road Transport Management Authority (OYRTMA) by officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) Zone F Command.

Makinde has pledged to work with the state Attorney General to prosecute those responsible for the attack and ensure that justice is served. He emphasized that such behavior will not be tolerated in Oyo State.

During a visit to the Immigration Office in Agodi, Ibadan, the Governor expressed his disapproval of the incident, which occurred when OYRTMA officials stopped Immigration officers for violating traffic rules.

Makinde stressed the importance of cooperation between state and federal agencies, stating that no agency should consider itself above the law. He assured that necessary steps will be taken to address the issue and hold the culprits accountable.
