Makinde Says Conscience Prevented Other Candidates From Engaging Oyo People, Assures of More Development in Omituntun 2.0

The Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde has shown concerns over the absence of his fellow contenders on the street of Oyo State to campaign.

The governor, who made this observation during a radio interview, noted that none of his opponents have gone to the streets as much as he has, adding that wherever he goes, his achievements speak for him.

He added that the conscience of campaigning about the people’s choice is fighting the opponents which has made them hide from the masses they are willing to govern.

Makinde, who further maintained that Oyo people are now politically enlightened, noted that during the last election, to some extent they were able to distinguished their choice.

“During the last election, people were given 3 different ballots, we had about 267, 000 election margin in the presidential election while the gap for the Senatorial seats were less than 37, 000 of which the Federal Representative seats were even tighter. People know who they would vote for on March 11”, he stated.

He added that Oyo State people have rejected Jagba politics, by reneging adequate trust in the Makinde led government and are ready to have the sustained development plans in Oyo State.

He further promised that Oyo State will stand out among committee of states in his 2.0, adding that the people of Oyo State haven’t seen enough development until the Omituntun 2.0 arrives.
