Makinde Suspends Executive Council Meeting as Commissioner, Lawal, Loses Son

The weekly executive council meeting has been cancelled to commiserate with the family of Oyo State Commissioner for Establishment and Training, Honourable Ayansiju Lawal; who lost his second son, Dapo to the cold hands of death as a result of a ghastly motor accident, along Ibadan Oyo road on December 6.

It was reliably gathered from a notification message obtained on Tuesday morning, that Dapo passed away on Monday evening December 13, at the University College Hospital (UCH), where he was receiving medical attention.

“I am saddened to announce the shocking death of my second son, Dapo, this evening of Monday 13th Dec 2021 at UCH.

“The boy had a ghastly motor accident on 6th Dec, 2021 along Ibadan Oyo road”, the message reads.

Meanwhile, the delegation of Oyo state government had since paid condolence visit to the Hon. Commissioner.

The delegation was led by Secretary to the State Government, Olubamiwo Adeosun, Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, Head of Service, Ololade Agboola.

Others include, commissioners in the cabinet of Oyo state government, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on SDGs, Hon. Kunle Yusuff MON, among others.
