Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare Acknowledges Makinde’s Giant Strides, Says He’ll Do More

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare has acknowledged the giant strides of the Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde in youth and sports Development, adding that he believes he would do more.

The Sports Minister stated this on Thursday when he was visited by the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate in the last Presidential and National Assembly Election in Oyo North, Hon Akinwale Akinwole, who visited to seek his support for Makinde’s re-election.

Sunday Dare, who is the Agbaakin of Ogbomoso received Hon Akinwale in his home in Ogbomoso.

In his remark, Hon Akinwale said the essence of the visit is to seek the Minister’s support for Governor ‘Seyi Makinde’s re-election.

”Governor Makinde shares the same vision with Hon Dare in the area of youth and sports development and it would be nice if the Minister can use his influence to enhance the governor’s re-election.

“I know you are in the opposition party, but as the Agbaakin of Ogbomosoland, I am convinced that your support will go a long way in enhancing Governor Makinde’s victory at the poll,” Hon Akinwale stated.

In the meantime, the minister in his response said he would continue to be grateful to the Ogbomoso and Oyo State people for their support for Asiwaju Tinubu in the last election, adding that he would be part of anything that would promote unity, equity and progress
