One of the gubernatorial aspirants under the platform of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) in Oyo State, Dr. Azeez Adedutan has criticised the party’s primary held on Friday, alleging that the deligates’ register was doctored.
Responding to Barrister Adebayo Shittu on a programme by Ajibola Akinyenfa’s “Bose nlo extra” on Agidigbo FM, the perceived embittered Adedutan said the supposed candidate of the party for the Guber position, Teslim Folarin, cannot win 2023 elections against Gov. Makinde with all the wrongs going on in the party.
He cited issues surrounding names of delegates submitted versus names of those presented at the venue of the election. He said there were too many irregularities which many attendees bore witness to.
Shittu responding said he was not the cause of Adeduntan’s failure or embarrassment at the primaries.
He added that instead of uttering hurtful words or engaging in verbal violence, Adedutan(former Commissioner for Health, under the late Gov. Abiola Ajimobi, should challenge the primary election result in court to table his grievances.
Meanwhile, Adedutan has vowed to appeal the electoral committee over the results
