The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Bayo Lawal has maintained that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is the only strong party that can defend people’s interests in Oyo State.

Lawal made this assertion in a post on his official Twitter page while receiving an ex-chieftain of the party, J. S. Amodu, whom he claimed had gone on sabbatical leave.

The Deputy Governor wrote: “I urged our members to convince those who are still in the Third Force Party to join @OfficialPDPNig as well while welcoming an ex-chieftain of our party, J. S. Amodu from APC, who had gone on a sabbatical leave back to the party again yesterday at Ojude Oba in Irepo LG.

“The PDP is still the only strong party to defend the interests of the people. I emphasised that nothing can be done with a third party while extending a warm welcome to the decampees because I have repeatedly run for office on that platform without success and the PDP is still the only”, he wrote.
