Oyo Govt Assures Quick Support For Aleshinloye Market Fire Victims

The Oyo state government has assured shop owners who lost their wares to fire incidence that occurred on Tuesday night at the plastic traders section of Aleshinloye market, Ibadan, of necessary intervention and support to cushion the effect of their losses and bring back normalcy into the market.

‎Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Bayo Lawal gave the assurance during assessment visit to the scene of the incident.

Barrister Lawal, who discribed the incident as unfortunate, ordered an immediate preliminary investigation into the incidence to enable government to take decisions in favor of the victims.

‎Barrister Lawal, who on behalf of victims thanked God that no life was lost to the inferno, assured that the state government would do the needful first before embarking on proper investigation on the cause of the incident.

‎The Deputy Governor assuured that the state government through the state emergency management agency (OYSEMA) and NEMA, would made palliatives available for them.

‎He therefore implored leadership of the market to quickly present their reports, taking into stock the shops and wares damaged by the inferno, for the state government to expedite measures of intervention.
