Oyo Govt. Suspends Female Student for Assaulting Colleague, Teachers, Parents During PTA Meeting

Oyo State Government has suspended a female student of Jericho High School, Ibadan for invading the school premises with hefty thugs and miscreants; assaulting a male student, teachers and other parents in the process.

The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Barrister Rahman Abiodun Abdu-Raheem made this known on Tuesday 30th, November 2021 after meeting with key education stakeholders in Ibadan.

The suspended student, had recently stormed the school premises alongside her mother and other accomplice, to disrupt the school PTA meeting and cause tension in the school.

Meanwhile, Abdu Raheem has expressed the displeasure of the Oyo state government over the incident, vowing that the state government is taking further action, to serve as a deterrent to other unguided parents and wards.

Barr. Abdu-Raheem therefore appealed for caution, emphasising that the present government has zero tolerance for impunity, while urging students, parents and all stakeholders to take advantage of Governor Seyi Makinde’s free qualitative education programmes.
