PHOTOS: Federal Government Kicks Off Distribution of Food Relief in Oyo State

The Federal Government of Nigeria on Friday, July 29, 2022, commenced the distribution of free food relief to the people of Oyo State.

Distribution of the food relief was part of the efforts of President Muhammadu Buhari, through the Hon. Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Sunday Dare, to cushion the effects of food scarcity and hike in the prices of commodities.

According to report, the food relief had the pilot stage kicked off in Ogbomoso zone, while other zones (Ibarapa, Oyo, Ibadan Less City, Ibadan City, Oke-Ogun I, Oke-Ogun II) of Oyo State are to receive in coming days.

In a video shared on the minister’s sustainable development timeline today, citizens and residents in Ogbomoso axis were seen going home with sacks of grains after collection.

Present at the venue of the food relief distribution, DAD Foundation Ogbomoso Office, as anchored by the representative of Chief Sunday Dare, Chief Ademola Olawale (AGBA DEMO), are All Progressives Congress (APC) party stalwarts, Ogbomoso North APC Chairman, Alhaji Raimi Agunyanmole, other chairmen, members, leaders of communities, societies, associations, and prominent people across the five local governments (Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Ogo Oluwa, Surulere and Oriire), making up Ogbomoso zones.
