Trouble brewed at Idi Arere in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Saturday as rival gangs clashed.
The incident which was said to have been fallout of rivalries among notorious cult leaders in Ibadan made the Oyo state police command to deployed heavy security personnel to Idi-Arare and Bornphoto all in Ibadan South West Local Government Area following a report that Moshood Oladokun, popularly known as Ekugbemi has been murdered by Biola Ebila, an alleged leader of one million boys gang.
The Oyo state police command public relations officer, CSP Olugbenga Fadeyi, who confirmed the incident in a chat with Oyo Affairs correspondent, said investigation is ongoing to ascertain the cause of the rival clash.
When quizzed if Moshood Oladokun, aka Ekugbemi is dead, the PRO said the police is putting up measures in place to calm the situation after which they will brief the public on the aftermath of the incident.
According to a resident of Idi-Arere who craved anonymity, the pandemonium started early this week between the faction of Ekugbemi and Ebila but on Saturday, Ebila led a deadly attack on Ekugbemi in a broad daylight.
