The Polytechnic Ibadan has asked its Deans, Heads of Academic Departments, members of non-teaching staff from Grade Levels 11 and above to resume on Monday, 24th of August, 2020 in order to prepare for the reopening of the school.
In a statement issued by the school registrar, Mrs Fawale M. T. on Sunday, titled “Preparedness for Reopening of the Polytechnic Ibadan”, She announced that members of staff on essential duties should resume and others whose services may be required would be contacted soon.
Members of staff were also admonished to wear face masks, use sanitizers/wash hands regularly and maintain social distance measures in accordance with Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), Federal Ministries of Health and Education regulations.
The institution had stopped all academic activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The statement reads: “Please be informed that all Deans, Heads of Academic Departments, all Non-Teaching Staff on Grade levels 11 to 14, and those on essential duties are to resume back to work on Monday, 24th August 2020 at 8.00 am.
“This is to ensure that adequate preparations are put in place for the School reopening and attention given to some academic-related issues on the ground.
“Staff are enjoined to wear face masks, use sanitizers/wash hands regularly and maintain social distance measures in accordance with NCDC, Federal Ministries of Health and Education regulations.
“Also note that others whom their services may be needed can be called anytime. Thank you”
