Sports Minister Backs Establishment of Youth Vocational Center in Ogbomoso

The Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Sunday Dare has influenced the establishment of a 600 Capacity Youth Vocational centre in his home town of Ogbomosho, Oyo State.

The Vocational Center which will be domiciled in Ogbomosho was secured on the day the Sports minister was installed as the Agbaakin of Ogbomosho land by the king of Ogbomosho, Soun, Oba Oladunni Oyewunmi Ajagungbade III.

Declaring the setting up of the project in response to the Minister’s request, the SSA to Mr. President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), Princess Adejoke Orelope- Adefulire stated that the president has approved the citing of the centre in Ogbomosho.

“Following the request from Chief Sunday Akin Dare, I am pleased to announce that a 600 Capacity youth vocational centre will be established in Ogbomoso”.

Reacting to this kind gesture by the president, the Soun of Ogbomosho and the Sports Minister expressed their sincerest appreciation to the Buhari led Admin.

Recall that the Sports Minister had been a notable voice facilitating developmental projects to Oyo state from the federal government.

Notable amongst projects he influenced include; the Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Ogbomoso, 80-bed hospital, youth vocational training and women’s empowerment programme.

Meanwhile, the Sports minister further reinstated his commitment to ensuring that residents of Oyo state and Nigerians at large enjoy the dividends of democracy.
