Truck Derails, Kills Pedestrian on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

A truck earlier today has derailed off the Lagos-Ibadan road which has led to the crushing of a pedestrian to death.

The truck, transporting grains also emptied its contents on the road and the accident has resorted to a heavy traffic along the busy corridor forcing commuters in their hundreds to divert to the alternate road towards Punch Place so as to connect out of the gridlock.

The Nigeria Police, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other related emergency agencies’ attempts to make better the situation has only created more troubles on the road as the section of the corridor outwards Lagos at Arepo junction was blocked.

As at noontime today, the crashed truck was yet to be moved out of the road but the crushed pedestrian, has been packed in a body bag.
