Victory Ahead as Oyo Lawmaker Disowns Mulikat, Joins PDP for Makinde’s 2.0 Bid

It is a victorious lead for Makinde as the Oyo chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has received another boost ahead of Saturday’s gubernatorial poll in the state with the official defection of the lawmaker representing Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire Federal Constituency, Hon Ajao Jacob Adejumo.

Adejumo, who had contested for a re-election under the Social Democratic Party (SDP), lost out to the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Olamiju Alao-Akala in the just concluded national election.

It was gathered that the lawmaker held an interactive meeting with some of his supporters yesterday, 5th of March, at his residence, where the next line of action was decided.

It was learnt that at the end of the meeting a conclusion to work for PDP and Governor ‘Seyi Makinde’s re-election was reached, citing the track records of the incumbent governor, in terms of workers’ welfare, infrastructure and security.

Mr Olusola Paul, the Media Director to the lawmaker who confirmed the report, said that Hon Ajao Jacob Adejumo and all his followers have agreed to work for the success of Governor ‘Seyi Makinde and PDP in the forthcoming election.

In the meantime, he added that they have collapsed their structure in SDP and no longer have any association with Hon Mulikat Akande Adeola, who is said to be in alliance with the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Teslim Folarin.
