The emergency intervention exercise tagged — “Operation Clean Up” Ibadan has begun.
The exercise is intended to cover residences and commercial operations in the 11 local government areas of Ibadan, which are include: Ibadan North, Ibadan North-East, Ibadan North-West, Ibadan South-East, Ibadan South-West, Akinyele, Egbeda, Ido, Lagelu, Ona Ara and Oluyole
According to Oyo State government, Monttanai Recycling Ltd. is running the emergency intervention exercise between Monday, August 1st and Sunday August 7th, 2022.
The coverage areas include residences and commercial operations in the 11 local government areas.
Residents have been urged to properly bag their refuse or bin them and place them in front of their houses, for easy evacuation.
“Gated communities should make adequate arrangements to give Monttanai trucks access to their communities for proper waste evacuation”, the release added.
