2023 Oyo FA Cup Draws to Hold Today

The Oyo State Football Association ably led by its Chairman, Oba Alakinyele of Akinyele, HRM James Odeniran has announced the date for the oldest football competition in the land , popularly known as Federation cup to hold on Monday, 20th February, 2023. The draw is billed to take place at Tennis Court Hall, Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan at 12 noon.

This was contained in a release signed by the secretary of the football association who doubles as Chairman, National Association Secretaries of the NFF, Mr Kehinde Ojelowo.

The body noted that 20 teams met the registration requirements in line with the NFF registration procedures and they will be allowed to participate in the 2023 edition of the tournament.

The release read in part: “2023 edition of Federation cup is scheduled for Monday 20th February, 2023 at Tennis Court Hall, Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan at 12noon.

“The participating teams are:

  1. G. Ranking Football Club, Ibadan.
  2. New Starlets Football Club, Ibadan.
  3. Shinning Stars Football Club, Saki.
  4. Saki United Football Academy, Saki.
  5. Mocdim Football Club, Ibadan.
  6. Ebedi Rocks Football Club, Iseyin.
  7. Iseyin Rocks Football Club, Iseyin.
  8. Rehoboth Football Club, Oyo.
  9. Saki Pride Football Club, Saki.
  10. Newcastle Football Club, Oyo.
  11. Grace Football Academy, Ibadan.
  12. Ilaji Football Club, Ibadan.
  13. 3SC, Ibadan.
  14. 3SC Team B, Ibadan.
  15. OYSHC Football Club, Ibadan.
  16. Crown Football Club, Ogbomoso.
  17. Cornerstone Football Club, Ibadan.
  18. OMA Football Academy, Ibadan.
  19. Oyo Alaafin Football Club, Oyo.
  20. Golden Sports Football Club, Ibadan”, it added.

It would be recalled that Saki United won the last edition of the competition defeating Oyo State Housing Corporation Football Club at the finals.
