Edith Agoye Resigns as Shooting Stars Head Coach

The head coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club, Edith Olumide Agoye has resigned from his role as the head coach of the football team.

After almost 9 years in charge of the Shooting Stars Sports Club of Oyo State, Edith Agoye chose to step down as Head Coach.

Recall had reported that the Ibadan Football Club management has been making arrangements to replace Agoye, due to the poor performance of the team in the last NPFL.

Agoye took 3SC back to the NPFL last season after four years in the lower division.

However, the club had a difficult time in the NPFL last season, as they narrowly escaped relegation on the last day of the season.

3SC finished 16th on the log with 48 points after 38 matches.

Speaking on his resignation, Agoye said: “After 9 years as a coach, five years as the head coach in which we gained promotion back to the NPFL and maintained our premier league status, l have decided to leave my position as the head coach of the club.
