EFCC raids Ibadan Bureau De Change Operators, arrest 12

Officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) conducted raids on the offices of several Bureau de Change (BDC) operators in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

Reports from DAILY POST indicate that the EFCC arrested at least twelve operators who had shops in the Sabo area, a community located in Ward 6 of Ibadan North local government area, predominantly inhabited by northerners.

According to a source, “They arrested 12 people. They arrived around 10-11 am.”

Chairman of the Bureau de Change operators, Aminu Ibrahim Babankande, confirmed the incident to DAILY POST. In a phone conversation, Babankande mentioned that they are currently investigating the exact number of individuals detained.

He stated, “I am unsure of the exact number at the moment. Our investigation is ongoing. We are prepared to collaborate with the authorities.”
