The Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has called on Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State to take proactive steps in combating insecurity in the state.
He made the appeal during a televised political programme on Sunday night while reacting to the recent security tensions in the state.
It would be recalled that tribal violence broke out in Shasha market in Akinyele Local Government Area of Ibadan on Saturday.
And in reaction, Fayose, who recounted his first tenure as a governor in Ekiti state in 2003 with the likes of APC National leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, challenged the Governor Makinde to tap from the experience of the previous eras to tackle the current security challenges.
The former governor also called on all governors to come together and collectively fight the growing wave of insecurity in the country.
