Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, on Thursday, commissioned the newly renovated Agodi Eid Praying Ground in Ibadan.

Governor Makinde made the commissioning through the caretaker chairman, Ibadan North East Local Government Council, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, who said the renovation of the Praying Ground testifies the Governor’s religious tolerance.

Akintayo noted that it is visible and noteworthy that the repairs were carried out to give the Eid Praying Ground a modern facelift.

Also speaking during the program, the chairman, Ibadan Muslim Community, Chief Bayo Oyero, lauded governor Seyi Makinde on the Agodi Eid ground renovation and urged the governor to give other necessary supports to the Muslim community.

The renovation works which were financed by the Ibadan North East Local Government Council, include drilling of the borehole with the erection of water tanks stands and construction of Solar street lights within the praying ground premises.
