Maryam Afonja Sets Record as the First Best Graduating Student of Tech-University With 4.91 CGPA

Maryam Afonja Adewumi, an indigene of Sepeteri town, Saki, has set the record to become the first best graduating student of the First Technical University Ibadan, Oyo state.

Maryam Afonja is the Daughter of Otun Baba Adini of Sepeteri land.

On Saturday, at the maiden Tech-U convocation, Maryam made her family proud by becoming the overall best student of the First Technical University Ibadan with a 4.91/5.0 CGPA.

Maryam, a first class graduate of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences is the first graduate to achieve the feat in 5-years history of the university.

Speaking after the convocation, Maryam said many thought she was doing yahoo, but the only challenges she had was on calculations which she later overcame after much consultation.

Meanwhile, she attributed her success to Allah, despite the challenges she encountered.
