The head coach of Nigeria Professional Football League club, Shooting Stars Sports Club, Gbenga Ogunbote, has said the team’s dream in the coming season is to finish in an appreciable position.
While speaking to newsmen, the former Remo Stars coach said he is elated about the team’s performance in the just concluded pre-season tournament but insisted that the team is not carried away.
“We give glory to God, the tournament we won is a dress rehearsal for the new domestic football season, just to fine-tune and see the readiness of the team.
“I’m not going to be carried away by the results; despite the victory, we saw some grey areas that we will need to work on so that our dream can come true.
“Our dream is to see the team finish in an appreciable position”, he said.
The Oluyole Warriors last won the Nigeria league in 1998.
