Oyo Records Highest Attendance of 175,320 Enrollees for 2022 NCEE

The 2022/2023 Common Entrance Examination into secondary schools in Oyo State held successfully On Tuesday, in all the 33 local government areas.

It was gathered that the state recorded the highest number of pupils writing the exam this year, with a total of 175,320 pupils sitting for the state screening and placement exercise into junior secondary schools across the state for the 2022/2023 academic session.

Records state that 170,640 pupils wrote the examination in 2020/2021 while 160,755 pupils sat for the exam in the 2019/2020 academic session.

Reacting to the figures, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mrs. Christiana Abioye, said the steady increment in enrolment is not far-fetched from the free education policy of Governor ‘Seyi Makinde’s administration.

She therefore charged all parents and relevant stakeholders to continually join forces with Governor ‘Seyi Makinde, for a sustained advancement of the education system in the state.
