Queen Badirat Ola, one of the estranged wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi has stirred reactions online after she stepped out in grand style for her father’s 8-days fidau on Monday.
Recall, Queen Ola had expressed how heartbroken she was as she mourned the death of her father, the Alapinni of Oyo land, High Chief Abdul-Rasheed Shehu.


The Alapinni of Oyo land, High Chief Abdul-Rasheed Shehu, died after a protracted illness in the early hours of Sunday, September 17.
Queen Ola, via her verified Instagram page, mourned the late Alapinni, expressing how sad she was about his demise.
The controversial queen had written on her verified Instagram page a week ago, “Inna lilahi waina ilehi rojiun. Aapinni Oosha, I don’t have the right word to say now than to pray to Almighty Allah to accept your return.
Daddy mi.. Hmmm it is well”.
September 26, being the 8th day of her father’s passing, the queen’s family held a Fidau prayer for the deceased according to the Islamic tradition.
Taking to Instagram, Queen Ola shared a video of her, all glammed up for the event.
She wrote, “How I stepped out for my father’s 8days Fidau”.
Alapinni, the Queen’s father who is also a member of the Oyo Traditional Council, otherwise known as Oyomesi, gave her daughter’s hand in marriage to late Ọba Adéyemí when she was 19.
