PHOTOS: Makinde Begins LG Campaign in Ogbomoso, Promises Continued Development

The Executive Governor of Oyo State, ‘Seyi Makinde has promised the people of Ogbomoso land that his administration will continue the accelerated development in the axis if elected for the second term.

Makinde who made this assertion during the commencement of his local government campaign at Ogbomoso North and South axis on Monday also paid visit to traditional rulers, chiefs and religious leaders in the axis.

The governor in a tweet on his official Twitter platform also appreciated the Students of the Ladoke Akintola University for their support and show up during the campaign.

The tweet read: “Yesterday, we commenced our LGA campaigns at Ogbomoso North & South LGAs. We visited the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) & met with the students who expressed their readiness to support our re-election bid. It was our pleasure to join them on a solidarity walk.

“We visited our royal father, Oba Sunday Oladapo Oyediran Lagbami Osekun III, the Onpetu of Ijeru Kingdom, to receive his royal blessings.

“We also visited the palace of the Soun of Ogbomoso to meet with the Ogbomoso Traditional Council led by Aare Ago, High Chief S. S. Otolorin.

“While in Ogbomoso, we visited Muslim leaders led by the Chief Imam of Ogbomosoland, Sheikh Talihat Yunus Ayilara. We also met with leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Ogbomoso, led by Chairman, Joseph Adegoke. We are grateful for all their prayers.

“Finally, we held a rally at Oja’gbo in Ogbomoso and assured our people that Omituntun 2.0 would be an upgrade on what they have enjoyed under our administration. We thank our people in Ogbomoso North and South LGAs for their show of love and support”, it added.
