Police Parades Serial Killer, Herbalist Behind Ritual Killings In Akinyele Local Govt, Ibadan

The Oyo state police command, this Friday, paraded one suspected serial killer and an herbalist who are behind the ritual killings in the Akinyele local government area of the state for the past two months.

The suspected ritual killer and his herbalist who have been carrying out dastard killings in the state were paraded at the Oyo state police command’s headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan alongside other criminal elements.

While parading the serial killer who carried out five killings in Akinyele, Sunday Sodipe age 19 years and his herbalist, Adedokun Yinusa age 50 years, the state commissioner of police, Joe Enwonwu, said the serial killer, Sunday Shodipe was arrested after his last evil operation failed on the 29th, June 2020 at Cele, Moniya, Ibadan, while the hand shovel used to murdered Barakat Bello and other victims was recovered.

The serial killer, Sunday Sodipe who confessed to his crime, said he successfully carried out five ritual killings while the six failed due to laxity in the charms he usually used when going for an operation.

CP Joe also paraded one Abdullahi Rasheed age 20 years who had unlawful carnal knowledge of his brother, Badmus Muideen, a 7-year-old-boys. Also paraded were two boys Dauda Okiki and Salami Opeyemi age 15 and 14 respectively who raped a 7-year-old girl, Fatia Olanrewaju, amongst other suspected criminal elements who were arrested in connection with defilement of minors and teenagers in the state.

In a similar vein, the police boss paraded suspected armed robbers and criminal receivers with 13 Motorcycles hijacked at gun points recovered.

As at the time of filing this report, the Oyo state police command has intercepted an 18-seater bus which conveyed 47 bags of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp at Egbeda Toll-Gate along Ibadan/Ife Expressway.
