Skit maker Sanku Dies Following Tragic Road Accident in Oyo

Popular Nigerian comedian and skit maker, Sanku, has died following a fatal road traffic collision along Ogbomoso Road in Oyo State.

The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, 1st September 2025, left several passengers injured.

Sanku and another victim were said to have been critically wounded. The comedian was later confirmed dead after being rushed to hospital.

Fellow skit maker Ozain Comedy confirmed the tragedy on his Instagram story with a post that read, “Rest well, soldier.” This came shortly after influencer Jidex also spoke on his death via TikTok, posting, “Rest in peace.”

Sanku, who began his comedy career in 2021, shot to prominence in 2024. His unique style and originality quickly won him a loyal following online, amassing over one million followers on TikTok.
