Tragedy on Ibadan/Oyo Expressway: 4 D*ad, Many Injured

A terrible accident occurred on the Ibadan/Oyo expressway on Saturday, leaving four people d*ad and many others injured. The accident was caused by over speeding and overloading, according to Atiba Unit Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), DCC Bayode Olugbesan. The white Toyota Hummer bus with registration number JJJ 941 XA (Lagos) was carrying 20 passengers, instead of the recommended 14, when it somersaulted.

The victims were all male and were headed to the north. After being taken to State Hospital, Oyo, only four of the 20 passengers were confirmed dead by a doctor. The other victims were treated for injuries sustained in the accident.

The FRSC commander appealed to road users to be cautious while driving, avoid over speeding, overloading, and night travelling. He emphasized the importance of following traffic rules and regulations to prevent accidents like this from happening.
