Two Die, Two Injured in Lagos–Ibadan Expressway Auto Crash

An accident involving a Toyota Camry and a Benz truck at Isara on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, has on Sunday claimed the lives of two persons.

Confirming the incident, Mr Ahmed Umar, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sector Commander in Ogun, said that the accident occured at 11:30 a.m on Sunday.

Umar explained that the accident was caused by over speeding which led to loss of control on the part of the Toyota Camry driver.

He added that the Toyota Camry with registration number — FST 783 FM rammed into the moving truck marked — T-4395 LA.

The FRSC boss stated that five men were involved in the accident and that two people were injured, one person was unhurt while the remaining two persons had died.

Umar said that the injured victims were taken to State Hospital, Isara while the deceased were deposited at the morgue of same hospital.

The sector commander commiserated with the family of the crash victims.

He therefore advised motorists to always obey traffic rules and regulations, saying that excessive speed kills.
