Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, were on Sunday, February 20, held to a nil-all draw by Wikki Tourists of Bauchi on NPFL match day 14 clash.
The match which held at the Lekan Salami Stadium, saw both teams failing at efforts to win a goal.
The first half ended goalless.
Coach Edith Agoye made few changes to his line up, as newly signed Adeniyi Adekunle paired Abbey Benson in the central back, while there was also starting shirt for Sunday Faleye.
Coach Agoye, while reflecting on the match said, “The game ended 0-0, it could have gone either way, it could have gone the ways of Wikki – they had their chances most especially in the first half, we were very lucky not to have conceded but I think in the second half we were much better – we try to create something but unfortunately we couldn’t do enough to score a goal.
“Wikki Tourists are a strong team, physically and tactically. Normally, our game is to build from the back but we couldn’t do that due to obvious reasons and anytime we build from the back; we got the better of them. It is a very good game for us to learn and we take lessons from this game and move forward”, he added.
Shooting Stars’ next game is a trip to Okigwe, Anambra State, where they will face Abia Warriors in a matchday 15 fixture, holding next Sunday.
