Sallah: Prominent Leader In Oluyole Fed. Constituency, Hon Olusina, Felicitates Muslims, Distributes Rams, Cows, Cash Gift, Others

As part of efforts to make the Eid-el-kabir celebration a memorable one for the people, a prominent leader in Oluyole Federal Constituency in Oyo State, Hon Ogunsola Olusina John, distributed rams and cows to the Muslim faithfuls.

Equally, he shared food stuffs including bags of rice, vegetable oil and cash gifts to political leaders, youth groups, community leaders and the less privileged across the wards within the constituency.

Hon Ogunsola, while presenting the items to the beneficiaries, on Tuesday, noted that the donation was necessary and aimed at making the residents have a fun-filled Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

He added that, as an individual, he would continue to engage in such gesture to give the less privilege a sense of belonging and put a smile on their face.

He said: “You know, this is an annual gesture from me, which is aimed at assisting the less privileged households to celebrate the Eid-El-Kabir with ease. The welfare of our people is most important to me and, as a result, I cannot fold my arms when I feel there is a need to give to the needy.

“I have also done this because I am aware of the fact that the economic situation of the country has been eating deep into our people’s pocket, thereby making life difficult for some families to feed. So, I will continue to reach out to the less privileged in the society.”

“This period create the best opportunity for us to share the quality access for which we are known as Muslims, which Islam has brought to us, called love.

“With compassion and faithfulness, let us continue to express love to ourselves and live in peace, which the religion preaches. I want to advice we celebrate this period with moderation, with economic tumour which the country is being faced with.

“Let us also remember that, as brothers, we should not leave ourselves alone but live for ourselves and others  which our religion preaches.

“We appreciate the contribution, which the Islam as a religion has brought to the country. And we want this to continue within the normal tempo Islam has preached.”
