The Oyo State Government has commenced the airlifting of intending Muslim pilgrims for the 2023 Hajj exercise. The State Pilgrim Welfare’s Board (Muslim Wing) is in charge of the exercise, and the first batch of pilgrims has already been airlifted.
On Thursday, Aero Contractor Airline transported the first batch of pilgrims from Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos State to Medina, Saudi Arabia. The group consisted of 475 pilgrims, comprising 236 males and 239 females.
The second batch of intending pilgrims is expected to be airlifted on Friday, followed by the third and fourth batches. The Oyo State Government is committed to ensuring a smooth and seamless Hajj exercise for all intending pilgrims.
